Transfers in Nine Words

Elder East finished his quarantine period yesterday, so we assumed he was soon going to be assigned to his trainer and a Church unit at some point.

We got a message at 2:27pm this afternoon, simply stating:

City Branch

It's unusual to have a Branch in the middle of a large city unless it's a language speaking unit, so I texted back the query "Language?": His response was:

English

I queried once again, "Called 'Ciy Branch: or it's a branch, not a ward?" His reply was:

Branch in city centre. Can't talk

So, that's all we know. Don't know who his companion is yet or any other details. I did go and do some research and discovered that it's formally the "Adelaide City Branch". It was created in 2017, and according to the Church News Release:
It was an historic day on Sunday 19 March as the new Adelaide City Branch of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints held its first Sunday meetings with 120 people in attendance. Created within the Firle Stake primarily to support young Chinese Latter-day Saints but also serving as the church meetinghouse for any members living in the CBD area, the LDS branch is the first of its kind in South Australia.

Apparently, the Sunday School classes are in Mandarin :) Learning a language was one of his fears, so it'll be interesting to see how much If any) Mandarin he has to pick up, even though it's an English speaking branch.

The Branch meetings are held on the 7th level of one of the city buildings, just next to the University of Adelaide, so it looks like he will be right in the city itself.

We're looking forward to getting more info about his trainer and what's been going on.
